In SAM, we did a lot of physics experiment and issue investigation. We applied the theories we learnt in our daily lives, for example now we knew how X-ray is generated. We also have a deeper understanding in water wave and also principle of tsunami. These knowledge that we learnt allow us to solve complex problems into simple approaches. We can improve our experimental skills and increases the specific knowledge of this particular subject. All of us are going to be engineers in the future, so learning physics will definitely help us a lot in our university education. The physics concept enable us to do assignments and solve specific problems in our future.
All those physics experiment that we had done depends on problem solving skills. These experiments polish our thinking and problem solving skills. During each experiment, we are required to think the concept, derive the formula, plot graphs and make conclusion. If the conclusion is different from the hypothesis, we also need to identify the errors such as systematic and random errors. When we do the experiment, some problems might appear and we will used to cooperate to solve the problems. This can train our mind and improve our thinking skills.
For developing communication skill, all those physics experiment that we had done are required us to communicate with our teammates, for example one of our group assignments require us to discuss the experiment procedures and plan the steps in order for us to complete the tasks. With these tasks, we are able to improve our communication skills and also foster our friendship, and finally complete the experiments with ease. After we finished the experiments, we also have to write a report as experiment task. Errors are discussed and presented tidily in the group report. Subsequently, we are able to communicate well in our university courses. Obviously, communicate is one of the essential element of being an engineer. Overall communicate is not as hard as it seen if only everyone in the group is willing to give opinions and feedback. Certainly, this skill will help us a lot in our social life in the future.
